The Challenge:

Systembolaget needed to review, simplify, and develop its existing role structure and job architecture to adapt to upcoming organizational changes. The goal was to offer clearer career paths, promote diversity and inclusion, and improve data quality for salary mapping. Challenges included time-consuming updates, a lack of an internal salary structure and clarity in responsibilities, and limited development opportunities for employees and managers.

The Solution:

To quickly adapt to new needs and promote learning and development, we worked together to develop a clearer role structure and more efficient job architecture using the iterative and inclusive Double Diamond method. Alongside Systembolaget, we formulated a customized and aligned solution based on clear OKRs. We collected and analyzed insights, formulated hypotheses, evaluated them, and then implemented the solution.

Systembolaget  – the mission is to reduce alcohol-related problems by selling alcohol without profit interest. The corporation  is a state-owned company with a statutory monopoly in Sweden on the retail sale of spirits, wine, and beer with an alcohol content exceeding 3.5% by volume.
