WHAT WAS THE CHALLENGE?
R&B works with rights in brand licensing and publishing. In 2020, the company took over one of the finest brands and the main right for Moomin Characters as well as a number of other brands, including staff from its previous agent. The mission was to reorganize and become a progressive agent that can take “Nordic Rights & Brands to a Global Arena”. We wanted to become a better version of ourselves in a short time and now saw this transition of business as an opportunity for a proper fresh start. Our goal was to build a professional, forward-looking and global business that is driven by succeeding together, as a team.
WHAT WAS THE SOLUTION?
Through Doing’s People Expert solution, we got the opportunity to work with a dedicated and business-driven person with broad and deep competence. He quickly entered our business with a large ecosystem of rights, partners, agents and customers. We received support in the strategic as well as tactical and operational change work with everything from structure, culture and communication.
The assignment consisted of the labor law and organizational perspective, the transition of operations and negotiations with new agreements. In parallel with the structural changes, we were supported with ongoing management support and change communication, to ensure transparency and commitment in the whole operation throughout the entire change work.
Basic structures and digital aids were implemented for working methods and relevant regulations such as employee interviews, digital mini surveys and eNPS measurements for better dialogue and increased engagement as well as ongoing follow-up.
Doings was also involved in organizational changes such as recruitments and dismissals due to a lack of work after a shift in skills became clear. In addition, Doings has continuously contributed to the management team work and as a sparring partner to managers and CEOs throughout the change work around issues related to HR, leadership and communication.
WHAT WAS THE RESULT?
R & B has made a fantastic growth journey where we have taken ourselves to a more global arena, been able to enable even more strategic business partnerships with employees who are incredibly engaged and involved in our continued journey and success.
We have professionalized both our framework and way of working and created greater clarity around how we want to work together in everyday life.
We have a more elaborate structure and legal basis after the transfer of operations. We have more tools in place to keep getting better together with our employees and customers.
