WHAT WAS THE CHALLENGE?
Hemnet is in a strong growth phase and in 18 months we have gone from around five to nearly twenty managers. We had a need to get our management group together and create a platform for our managers to meet to exchange information, experiences and best practice with each other, but also the opportunity for new insights and knowledge to develop and strengthen their leadership. In this way, we wanted to create conditions and a framework for a common view of leadership at Hemnet – as well as strengthen the cohesion among our managers.

Based on this starting point, we contacted Doings to investigate what opportunities there were to adapt a leadership development program that would run during the year.

WHAT WAS THE SOLUTION?
Together, we have developed a customized leadership development program for 2020 where specific topics are covered that are adapted to Hemnet’s needs. The goal is for all managers to gain relevant knowledge, tools and insights to lead teams, individuals, their business and themselves in a sustainable, efficient and engaging way.

We started the work with the leadership development program during the spring, just when we had switched to working from home as a result of the corona virus. Doings was flexible in adapting the training so that it could be carried out digitally, which worked very well.

WHAT WAS THE RESULT?
We have carried out two out of four planned occasions within the program we put together with Doings. It has worked well and has been appreciated by our managers. In addition to this, the management group also meets regularly to share information and experiences with each other. With Doings as a sounding board, we have got a better structure in place to create good conditions for a strong manager community at Hemnet which we will evaluate, develop and improve on an ongoing basis.

Hemnet is Sweden’s most popular housing portal and an obvious meeting place for brokers, housing sellers and buyers. Hemnet wants to create the conditions for more, better and more efficient deals for the housing market’s various actors – with a more flexible and more accessible housing market as a guiding light.
