WHAT WAS THE CHALLENGE?
All managers had bought into our strategy; to focus on customer relations, growth and profitability. However, we had challenges in getting the strategy out in common priorities and working methods and, above all, challenges in getting all employees on board.
WHAT WAS THE SOLUTION?
Our belief was that the power and leverage to get the strategy into action was in the dynamics and collaboration of the management team. Together with Doings, we put together a program with the goal of strengthening the team spirit in the management group. Focus was on increasing consensus and agreeing on the common mindset, working methods and priorities required to work strategy-based and to reach the goal. For six months, we had workshops, individual coaching and learning mentorships. The content spanned a wide range of methods, inspiration and training in leading change, increasing collaboration, visualizing the goal and jointly prioritizing.
WHAT WAS THE RESULT?
Today, we have a jointly formulated commitment for us in the management team, with clearly defined behaviors and approaches to lead according to the strategy. We have gained an increased team spirit, where we feel that we can take support from each other in a different way. We focus on the strategy to a much greater degree, and we are already seeing effects such as increased profitability thanks to our improved cooperation and common priorities.
