THE CHALLENGE

When Bank Norwegian, Nordax Bank and Svensk Hypotekspension merged into one group; NOBA, we identified the need to create a common leadership foundation to build one culture, create consensus and show direction. One important piece of the puzzle in this was a common leadership foundation, with the support of leadership principles. After the 7 leadership principles were set, we needed to make sure the right tools and knowledge were provided to our leaders to realize them.

WHY DOINGS?

We needed a partner who spoke the same language and had the same view on what is important in leadership. That could connect our leadership with our purpose, mission, values, and culture with a truly hands-on approach. Doings helped us bring out not only the what but also the how and why in a crystal clear and inspiring way. This combination of strategic, operational and truly hands-on support was a great fit for us and the way things are done in NOBA.

THE SOLUTION

Together, in close collaboration, NOBA and Doings created a leadership program that all leaders at NOBA will undergo – NOBA Leadership Program. The program based on our values and leadership principles identifies behaviors we need to strengthen and develop. It will ensure our leadership aligns with our mission and takes us in the right direction to achieve our goals. Knowledge and tools are combined with physical leader forums with a chance for the leaders to deepen their knowledge and exchange experiences.

Self-reflection is a central part of the program. Every leader starts and ends the program with a 360-feedback evaluation, providing the leaders with insights and increased self-awareness regarding strengths and areas for development, making sure all the leaders get the most out of the program as possible. That will strengthen us as one NOBA.

THE EFFECT
  • Established a common view on leadership – made it clear what expectations we have on the leaders and how it is connected to everything we do.
  • Strengthened relationships between the leaders – created a platform for discussion, knowledge exchange as well as learning from each other.
  • Inspired leaders – making the leaders find their own why, to stay motivated and focus on their leadership.
